NAMUKA ISLAND
Rich in history
Namuka Island, steeped in history, was once home to Adolph Brewster Joske, the namesake of the famous volcanic formation ‘Joske’s Thumb.’ The island was later owned by the Whippy family, who constructed a boat ramp to support their boat-building enterprise. Visitors can stroll through the lush rainforest to see historical sites, swim and snorkel in the serene waters to explore the coral nursery and reef, or simply relax on the beach and enjoy the stunning sunsets and sunrises.
